IEP Consultation, Assessment & Advocacy
Support for children, youth, and families navigating school-based services and educational planning. Services may include reviewing existing school documentation, identifying areas where additional support may be needed, helping families understand the IEP process, preparing for school meetings, developing questions and recommendations, and supporting families in advocating for appropriate accommodations and resources. This can include support with: -IEP consultation and review -Educational needs and strengths assessment -School meeting preparation -Accommodation and support recommendations -Advocacy with schools and service providers -Understanding educational documentation and processes -Communication between families and school teams -Connecting families with relevant community or disability resources
